A comprehensive collection of plant derived natural products including, phytochemicals, essential oils, plant extracts against breast cancer.

PhytoCAT is a curated repository of PhytoChemicals Affordable Therapeutics for Breast Cancer that exhibit activity against breast cancer. It contains 2147 entries and each phytochemical provides information on its source, structure, properties (physical, elemental, and topological), cancer type, cell lines, inhibitory values (IC50), molecular targets, their geographical availability, and target pathways.

PhytoCAT concentrates on anti-cancer natural compounds found in plants only with a particular focus on breast cancer. PhytoCAT is unique in providing bioactivities of these natural compounds against different cancer cell lines, mice model targeting genes, proteins, and signaling pathways. Geographical availability and parts of the source plant from which phytochemical is extracted make it more beneficial to be taken for further studies. It includes data extracted from PubMed by text mining of 29020 abstracts. Each record in the PhytoCAT is also hyperlinked to various other similar databases like PubChem, Plants of the World Online (POWO), and PubMed.
