Potency According to our data, thymol shows concentration- and time-dependent antiproliferative and apoptotic effects on non-small cell lung cancer, prostate cancer and highly metastatic human breast cancer cell lines. Not only does thymol inhibit proliferation, it also induces apoptosis in cancer cells.
Cell line/ mice model MDA-MB-231, PC-3, DU145, KLN205
Additional information  Thymol significantly induced apoptosis in all groups in a dose-dependent manner. Statistical analysis showed a significant difference between thymol‑treated cell lines compared to the control (p < 0.001).
