Additional information  Rigidusol 1 has moderate cytotoxicity to the human breast adenocarcinoma cell line MCF-7 showing ED50 3.8 mg/ ml compared with adriamicin with ED50 0.5 mg/ ml (Soule et al., 1973) while the compound was found to be inactive against human lung (A-549) and colon (HT- 29) tumor cell lines (ED50 >10 mg/ml).
