Gene or Protein evidence Moreover, annonacin attenuated MCF-7 xenograft tumor growth while inhibiting ERα, cyclin D1 and Bcl-2 protein expressions in nude mice. In T47D cells, pawpaw CE and the acetogenins 10-hydroxyglaucanetin (1), annonacin (2), and annonacin A (3) inhibited hypoxia-induced HIF-1 activation with IC(50) values of 0.02 microg/mL, 12 nM, 13 nM, and 31 nM, respectively.
Target pathways NA
IC50 12 nM against T47D
Potency NA
Cell line/ mice model MCF-7 xenografts in nude mice, MDA-MB-231, MCF-7, T47D
Additional information  Moreover, annonacin decreased phosphorylation of ERK1/2, JNK and STAT3.
